The SAI 2008 table for Lt Col is a good basis for working out notional pay for those officers who had retired during regime of 5 CPC. But when migrating to the 7 CPC regime the disparities in years of service for the same notional pay would be significant.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is less acute while working out the 7 CPC notional pay for a Lt Col who retired in regime of 6 CPC.
I had made a rough table a few months back. It includes the qualifying service for each stage for the purpose of comparison. http://goo.gl/omFlbh
Good News for Wing Commanders & Group Captains
ReplyDeletehttps://4wingcommanders.blogspot.in/2017/09/good-news-for-wing-commanders-group.html
Once again, sorry to ruin your comment because PCDA (O), Naval Pay Office, AFCAO have confirmed that there aren't any Lt Cols/Cdrs/Wg Cdr who have acheived top of the Pay in Pay Band (PIPB) of Rs 67000 + GP Rs 8000 + MSP Rs 6000 = Rs 81000; and therefore pension of Rs 40500.
DeleteHowever there are 124 Cols and 150 Gp Capts who have attained Rs 67000+ GP 8700 + MSP 6000 = Rs 81700; pension of Rs 40850, and
113 Brig and 77 Air Cmdes who have attained Rs 67000 + 8900 + 6000 = Rs 81900; pension of 40950.
It appears that Navy does not have any such officers of Capt and CMDE.
