Sir your RTI queries and their replies do reveal that OROP did exist in form of standard pension. It will be interesting to find out the rates of the civil pensioners. Was the standard pension of defence personnel higher than that of the civil pensioners? Did the third/fourth pay commission abolish the standard pension for the defence and nullified their advantage over the civil pensioners?

Fourth Pay Commission recommended the Parliament Act of 1986 for judges of the High Courts and Supreme Court and fixed the pension as 50% of last pay drawn.
