Correction made as per comments of @sunlit
1. These calculations are made without benefit of exercising
the mind on such matters as service in the Ranks prior to commissioning,
service as an officer pre-AVSC and earlier, Time Scale (TS), Select List of
Promotion Boards etc. Therefore no comments/clarifications will be possible.
2. It is open for discussion, as some learned commentators have
expressed, whether fixation pre-2006 would affect the pensions if the principle
elucidated for OROP is same pension for the same rank for the same number of
years of service as being paid to those after 1.1.2006 with the 3 “sames.”
3. Effect of
Rank Pay, in consonance with the opinion dated 3.9.2013 of the Ld Attorney
General has not been factored in.
4. For all ranks, though the scales have been extended to year
30, officers might have either superannuated or
were promoted in respective ranks before they would “burst” [PCDA (O)’s
terminology] the pay of the next higher rank. So please do not point this as a
flaw in the table.
5.
Please read Y (Year) column against each rank to
find out what the consolidated pay and pension would be i.e Y1 is the year
promoted to each rank and Y3 is year 3
in each rank.
